Lance Truscott Morrison is a Northern Californian who wanted to make a handmade music CD for fathers, fathers-to-be, and all people who revere family. He is a retired Police Captain and a current deputy sheriff. He has a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies, and has been a musician since the day his awesome parents bought him his first guitar.
Lance wrote this music to celebrate fatherhood in all of its complexities. You have to laugh! This is homemade and heartfelt. He plays each instrument--bass, guitar, lead guitar, keyboards, trumpets and trombone, as well as drums on several tunes. This was done at home in California. Lance uses a simple 16 track recorder, playing each instrument one-at-a-time. This is not a slick Hollywood production. Rather, it is a unique hand crafted music CD that is genuine, much like a musical handmade gift. Enjoy something original and rich with meaning!
This is one-of-a-kind music that no dad (or mom) should be without. Grandparents enjoy the memories it stirs.
Most of all, think of this as a musical primer for that dad or parent-to-be!

Lance is first and foremost a dad himself. He has five children. He has done all of the 'dad things' most of us think about--coaching Little League, Bobby Sox, and being involved in his kids' lives. Now that he has adult and not yet adult kids, Lance also knows the joys of life with children when they grow older. He scuba dives with two kids, has run marathons and made Alcatraz to San Francisco swims, and Bay-to Breakers runs with others. No matter what life brings, he always thinks about that crowded house, those competing interests, and some trying times. How in the world can parents do it? Lance's music addresses these questions and more.
In the end, Dadtunes was Lance's way of preparing parents, and reminding others that life with our children is a fleeting moment. We make mistakes, and so do they. We get through it with love, and the humor found in his songs. Dadtunes touches each listener in both its originality, and its ability to rekindle your own memories.
